Procrastinating is very likely to happen in the online distance learning set-up, especially when it comes to asynchronous activities like homework and offline reading assignments. To avoid this, it must be emphasised that sticking to a plan, as raised in the first point, is an effective way to fight procrastination, ensure productivity, and facilitate learning.

One of the challenges that learners have had from the shift to online learning is the lack of a conducive environment that the traditional classroom offers. This is why having a dedicated study space is a must in this new learning set-up, as it helps in increasing productivity and helps the learner concentrate and take control over his or her academic work.

Allow your mind and body to rest after a productive day of accomplishing tasks and ticking them all off your to-do list! A healthy and well-rested body ensures that learners have the necessary energy to carry on with remote learning and all the activities and responsibilities it entails.
